Google Launches +1 Button for the Whole Web

Just seen this article on TechCrunch. Google is now offering a Chrome Extension so that visitors to any website can +1 a piece of content. I’m pretty sure that this announcement will lead to dozens more blog posts on how Social Signals are now an all-important ranking factor. Before shouting from the roof-tops and proclaiming the death of SEO at the hands of social media, you might like to read this sober (and in my opinion, far more accurate) piece on ranking signals in social media.[via]
